Sentara Health Plans is hiring a Clinical Compliance Consultant!
This is a Full Time position with day shift hours and great benefits!
This position is remote and applicants must be located in Virginia. Travel up to 1-2 x per year.
Job responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Program Manager, the Clinical Compliance Consultant will be responsible for supporting the clinical and regulatory compliance of designated lines of business through project leadership, technical oversight and risk identification and mitigation. He/she will develop tools that help determine regulatory and accreditation risks and will help manage and mitigate them effectively. In collaboration with business management areas, will develop metrics for monitoring program objectives and policies and procedures that support compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards. He/she will gather information related to quality improvement and compliance monitoring, maintain records, and monitor the development and use of all related metrics for regulatory compliance. Also makes recommendations to business unit partners for improvements or remediation to risk management, regulatory, and accreditation compliance programs. The Consultant will create policies, procedures, and tools that will help implement recommendations. The Consultant will assist in training and development activities and will serve as a liaison and peer mentor for other associates.
Required qualifications:
- A minimum of three (3) years of professional experience required.
- At least one (1) year of quality, regulatory, compliance, accreditation, and/or auditing experience.
- Candidate must have active clinical licensure in the state of Virginia. LPN, RN. LCSW or LMSW. Social work candidates required to have active social work licensure – LCSW or LMSW. Virginia state requirements for licensure must be met and maintained.
- Knowledge of clinical regulatory requirements, experience with CMS and state regulatory and accreditation requirements preferred.
- BLD – Bachelor’s Level Degree OR MLD – Master’s Level Degree required
Preferred qualifications:
- Health Plan/Managed Care/MCO experience
