Description

The Manager, Care Management leads teams of nurses and behavior health professionals responsible for care management. The Manager, Care Management works within specific guidelines and procedures; applies advanced technical knowledge to solve moderately complex problems; receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines approach, resources, schedules and goals.

Responsibilities

The Manager, Care Management oversees the assessment and evaluation of members’ needs and requirements to achieve and/or maintain optimal wellness state by guiding members/families toward and facilitate interaction with resources appropriate for the care and wellbeing of members. Decisions are typically related to resources, approach, and tactical operations for projects and initiatives involving own departmental area. Requires cross departmental collaboration, and conducts briefings and area meetings; maintains frequent contact with other managers across the department.

Required Qualifications

• Bilingual in English/Spanish, able to read, write, and speak in English/Spanish without limitations or assistance
• Associate’s Degree
• 5+ years of professional experience
• 2+ years of leadership experience
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license or Social Work (SW) license
• Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting data trends.
• Progressive business consulting and/or operational leadership experience
• Comprehensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Must have a separate room with a locked door that can be used as a home office to ensure you have absolute and continuous privacy while you work
• Must provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office (Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role). A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload is required
• Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in nursing or business health field
• Previous experience working in a managed care field
• 5 or more years of previous management/supervisor level experience

Additional Information

WAH requirements: Must have the ability to provide a high-speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense. A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25×10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required.  Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role. A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay decisions will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$84,600 – $116,300 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
