Nurse Practioner (NP) for Addiction and MH Program

Job Description

  • Salary – $240,000
  • 100% Telehealth
  • M-F 9am to 5:30pm

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

  • The NP will meet adult patients over Zoom who have addiction and MH issues and prescribe the necessary meds. And provide follow up with the patients on their journey to recovery.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Diagnosis and treatment of illness and injury related to addiction use disorder and mental health.
  • Medication prescription and management for clients in treatment for addiction and mental health.
  • Utilization of the ASAM guidelines in directing care of participants.
  • Assessment of withdrawal symptoms to determine appropriate protocols and the application of those protocols.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have an active and current California NP license
  • Must have a DEA x-waiver 275
  • Addiction medicine and mental health training and/or board certification preferred, but not required

  • finishing tasks in a timely manner, meeting deadlines
  • use of computer for medical notes – knowledge of Kipu helpful, but not necessary
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
