Overview

Atlantic Health System is Seeking a Nurse Practioner for a Part-Time Authorization Clinical Review Position (Non-Clinical, Remote)

 

Atlantic Health System, one of New Jersey’s largest non-profit healthcare networks, is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Nurse Practioner to support Atlantic Medical Group Primary Care as an Authorization Clinical Reviewer. This role is non-clinical, part-time, and fully remote after training. This position requires the nurse practioner to work remotely 22.5 hours per week (3, 7.5-hour days).

 

As an Authorization Clinical Reviewer, the nurse practioner will be responsible for supporting Atlantic Medical Group’s Primary Care practices, managing up to 30 accounts per day. The nurse practioner will review patient information to ensure treatment and services provided falls within the plan’s guidelines. The nurse practioner will be responsible for peer-to-peer review, appealing denials as appropriate.

Qualifications

  • Graduated from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
  • Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey
  • BLS certification is required
  • 2-3 years of reviewing insurance authorization and appealing denials required
  • EPIC experience preferred
  • Strong work ethic and a team player who can work independently
