The Senior Community Care (SCC), On Call Nurse Practitioner is responsible for providing care to members during evening, night, and weekend hours, primarily telephonically. We provide clear holiday scheduling at the beginning of the year for advanced planning. The on-call NP is responsible for the delivery of medical care services to a pre-designated group of enrollees in Florida.
This is a part-time 20hrs per week, work from home position requiring various shift coverage. Our After Hours Telephonic Team works any time between Mon-Thur 5pm-9am EST and Fri 5:00pm to Monday 9:00am EST (various hours). This position also requires 12-hour weekend shifts varying day and night shifts – OVER NIGHT and holidays are required. Clear holiday scheduling at the beginning of the year for advanced planning. This is a fast paced, high acuity position and you must be awake through your entire shift.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Telephonic on call from home for very busy on call team. You must be awake the entire shift
- Holiday call and must be available to work every other weekend
- Work closely with a tight knit group peer, with support from clinical leadership
- Opportunities to present unique clinical cases to National Leadership

Required Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree as a Nurse Practitioner
- Current, unrestricted license in your state of residence and ability to obtain in other required locations
- Nurse Practitioner national certification as ANP, FNP, or GNP
- Ability to obtain DEA licensure / Prescriptive Authority
- 3+ years of experience as a NP
- Experience working in a nursing home, or with seniors in an Acute Care facility
- Clinical background in adult, family or geriatrics

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island or Washington residents is $85,000 to $167,300. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). **PLEASE NOTE** Employees must be in an active regular status. Employees must remain in role for a minimum of 12 months from the date of hire/rehire/transfer. If an employee leaves Home and Community, the student loan repayments will cease. The employee must remain in an Advanced Practice Clinician or Physician role within Home and Community for 36 months to receive the full benefit of the student loan repayments.
