Job Introduction

Maximus is currently seeking Quality Assurance Clinical Analysts to support the Independent Practitioner Panel (IPP) Program, which completes assessment reviews and issues practitioner orders for New Yorkers who qualify for long-term in-home care. The QA Clinical Analyst is responsible for reviewing assessments to ensure accuracy and consistency and collaborating with other program staff.  They are actively engaged with their immediate department to support program quality and participates in the ongoing operation of an effective quality monitoring program.


This is a full time, remote position located in the state of New York and requires an active New York Registered Nurse License.


Education and Experience Requirements

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance Manager to develop an effective quality monitoring program
  • Provide QA training to the Independent Practitioners for quality actions to be incorporated into their daily practice
  • Audits Practitioner Orders and Care Plan Reviews to evaluate completeness, accuracy, and consistency
  • Researches consumer complaints; forwards to the appropriate party for investigation
  • Collect data related to Practitioner Order and Care Plan Reviews
  • Examine cases for completeness, accuracy, and consistency
  • Examine data for outliers and researches such cases
  • Develop/complete reports that track and trend activities/outcomes
  • Acts as an advisor to program staff on all QA and Compliance issues related to the IPP program
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Management


Minimum Requirements:


  • 2+ years RN experience in home care, medical, surgical, geriatric, LTC and/or ambulatory care.
  • Active RN license in the state of New York
  • Strong working ability with all forms of technology
  • Ability to navigate multiple systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of individuals.
  • Detail and solution-oriented
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team
  • Exceptional analytical skills


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’ degree in Nursing or Health Care Management
  • 2+ years previous work experience in Quality and Risk Management in a hospital or health plan setting conducting peer reviews

Pay Transparency

Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to a candidate’s education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus’s total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards.
