The REMOTE Senior Educator/Clinical Writer position is responsible for creating Peritoneal Dialysis & Home Hemodialysis clinical content training. Clinical content is used at a national level to train new and existing nurses, patient care technicians, directors, preceptors, educators, patients and other roles within DaVita Kidney Care. Content will be developed with adult learning principles, generational learning styles in mind while exhibiting creativity and innovation. The REMOTE Senior Educator/Clinical Writer ensures transfer of knowledge across all training programs. Builds relationships with key teammates in other departments to ensure alignment on cross- functional training and/or roll out initiatives. The REMOTE Senior Educator/Clinical Writer serves as mentor and coach to other education/trainer teammates.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES of the REMOTE Senior Educator/Clinical Writer

  • Independently prepares, creates, innovates clinical content, training materials and educational tools in collaboration with teams/departments to meet department & operational objectives.
  • Reviews/creates content evaluations, participant & stakeholder feedback and makes recommendations to continually improve/innovate.
  • Delivers educational materials for a variety of settings & devices (e.g. classroom, self-paced modules, videos, animations, virtual)
  • Responsible for training related to the Education/Trainer teammates, including the coaching and development of the educators in presenting created content.
  • Other duties as assigned

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, TRAINING, OR QUALIFICATIONS the REMOTE Senior Educator/Clinical Writer

  • Associate Degree in Nursing or higher from accredited school of nursing or three year diploma from accredited diploma program
  • At least two years of nephrology nursing experience in peritoneal dialysis &/or home hemodialysis
  • Demonstrated expertise in effectively teaching adult learners with different learning styles
  • Intermediate computer skills and proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, & SharePoint type document file platforms

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS of the REMOTE Senior Educator/Clinical Writer

  • Certified Nephrology Certification – preferred
  • RN license in state of practice TRAVEL AND TIME REQUIREMENTS
  • Travel: Up to 10%

Salary/ Wage Range

$68,400.00 – $100,400.00 / year

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
