The 24/7 Shift Supervisor is responsible for directing clinical operation of designated Advocacy 24/7 shift, which may include one or more of the following functions: human resources, customer service, and information technology.
This role requires internet upload and download speeds of at least 80Mbps.
This is a remote role.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for completing triage calls 50% of the work week, 20 hours per week or approx. 3-5 calls per shift.
- Responsible for direct supervision and support of assigned nurses in their day-to-day operations 50% of the work week, 20 hours per week.
- Act as a resource for day-to-day questions for assigned nurses and as backup to management when not available or when clinical expert is needed.
- Organize and provide shift coverage for day-to-day nurse call ins.
- Monitor assigned nurse call volume. Make recommendations for action plans to improve management as needed.
- Provide feedback for performance evaluations and performance management as requested.
- Complete Quality Assurance on 5% of monthly individual nurse calls.
- Assist with training of new and existing nurses as assigned.
- Recommend process changes to improve workflow efficiencies as identified.
- Responsible for human resources matters directly related to assigned nurses supervised.
- Regular and consistent attendance.
- Comply with all safety rules and regulations during work hours in conjunction with the Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP).
- Additional duties as required.
- Depending on position/area, may be required to perform the following:
- May be required to travel overnight and attend meetings.
- May perform Advocacy 24/7 nurse responsibilities.
- May perform daily, weekly, monthly reviews of various reports and/or logs.
EDUCATION & TRAINING:
- Associates degree, national certification or equivalent in nursing. Must have excellent communication, computer and analytical skills.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in business, health care, nursing, or other degrees related to a managed care organization is preferred.
- Technical knowledge of the laws, policies, and procedures in defined territory is preferred. Demonstrated past experience in supervision is a plus.
- National certification including CRC, CIRS, CCRN, CVE, CCM, etc. is an asset.
PAY RANGE:
CorVel uses a market-based approach to pay and our salary ranges may vary depending on your location. Pay rates are established taking into account the following factors: federal, state, and local minimum wage requirements, the geographic location differential, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, internal employee equity, and market conditions. Our ranges may be modified at any time.
For leveled roles (I, II, III, Senior, Lead, etc.) new hires may be slotted into a different level, either up or down, based on assessment during interview process taking into consideration experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role. The level may impact the salary range and these adjustments would be clarified during the offer process.
Pay Range: $70,276 – $116,942
