About the Role:
Uwill is seeking an experienced psychiatrist or psychiatric nurse prescriber licensed in Massachusetts to provide clinical consultation to college counseling and medical teams.
This role involves weekly consultation meetings conducted via Zoom, with a time commitment of approximately 60–90 minutes across two separate teams. Staff will present cases for clinical consultation requiring diagnostic feedback, treatment planning, and care coordination support. The weekly commitment may be closer to 90 minutes during the academic year and less frequent during the summer months.
This is a 1099 role, and the selected candidate will invoice Uwill directly for services rendered.
Minimum Qualifications (Mandatory):
- Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner or Psychiatrist with an active unencumbered license in Massachusetts.
- For PMHNP must be full practice authority.
- Individual NPI Number or equivalent.
- 10 years of experience working providing psychiatric care, with experience treating young adults/college students.
- Experience providing consultations and/or clinical supervision. Teaching in the psychiatric field might be acceptable experience as well depending on topic, scope, and tenure,
- Must clear a background check and professional license verification
- Liability insurance
- HIPAA compliant location for consultations.
Special Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities:
- Excellent interpersonal, and listening communication skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, critical-thinking skills, use of sound judgment.
- Significant experience working with emerging adults and a strong understanding of the mental health needs of college students.
- Working with an interdisciplinary team in a collaborative setting.
- Experience in higher education settings and comfort with the emerging adult population.
- Candidates should be comfortable providing thoughtful diagnostic guidance, treatment recommendations, and collaborative support to multidisciplinary campus care teams.
- Comfortable working in a remote setting via zoom.
