How you’ll make an impact in this role
- Leads a National Organization’s Medical Peer Review Program for multiple sites across the United States.
- Participation in OPPE/FPPE (Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluation; Focused Professional Practice Evaluation). Developing and implementing policies, standards, and systems for compliance and operational excellence.
- Coordinating practitioner data collection (injuries, complaints, claims, quality indicators), managing peer review programs to meet regulatory and accreditation standards, collaborating with Quality/Risk/Legal on root cause analysis of adverse events, overseeing peer review to improve patient quality and safety, facilitating incident review and corrective action.
- Ensure regulatory adherence, analyzing quality data for reporting, collaborating with other departments on quality integration, managing the External Review Process, and maintaining confidentiality/peer protection.
What minimum requirements you’ll need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Preferred Credential(s):
• Quality Professional.
• Risk Management.
Education:
- High School diploma equivalency with 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required with 2 of those years being in leadership/management OR Associate’s degree/Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required with 2 of those years being in leadership/management.
What additional preferences we’re seeking
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree
- Extensive experience leading peer review meetings
- Worked at the national level of multiple sites for a hospital organization
