ROLE OVERVIEW
The Senior Learning & Development Partner – Student and Trainee Programs is responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving the organization’s student and trainee experience. This role owns the end-to-end student lifecycle — from academic partnerships and application processes through onboarding, supervision support, and program evaluation. The Senior Learning Partner works cross-functionally with Clinical Leadership, HR, Compliance, and academic institutions to ensure a high-quality, compliant, and scalable training experience that strengthens our clinician pipeline.
This role is both strategic and hands-on: developing program plans, building tools and processes, supporting supervisors, and using data to drive measurable improvement.
Compensation: $82,000 – $100,000 /annually, plus annual bonus potential
Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and manage the full lifecycle of student placements including application intake, site matching, onboarding requirements, supervision coordination, tracking, documentation, and completion
- Standardize processes across locations to ensure consistency and quality
- Address and resolve student or supervisor concerns, placement changes, and transitions
- Ensure compliance with confidentiality, credentialing, documentation, and state requirements
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships with universities, colleges, and clinical training programs
- Serve as a primary point of contact between academic partners and internal stakeholders
- Support affiliation agreements and partnership documentation in collaboration with Legal and Compliance
- Design and deliver supervisor upskilling initiatives for clinicians overseeing students
- Partner with Clinical Leadership to establish clear supervision expectations, development plans, and feedback processes
- Create practical tools, templates, and guidance to support effective supervision
- Define and track key performance indicators (in partnership with other teams as needed) such as placement fill rate, student satisfaction, supervisor engagement, and conversion-to-hire outcomes
- Evaluate program effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement
- Support annual planning efforts related to student capacity and workforce alignment
- Partner with HR, Talent Acquisition, Compliance, Legal, and Clinical Operations to align student processes with organizational policies and workforce needs (pipeline for recruiting)
- Contribute to broader Clinical Education initiatives as needed
- Support budgeting and resource planning for student programs in partnership with leadership
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, social work, marriage & family therapy, nursing, healthcare administration, or related field
- Preferred: Independently licensed clinician
- 5+ years of experience in learning & development, academic program coordination, clinical education, or healthcare program administration
- Experience working with academic institutions and clinical training programs
- Strong project management, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills
- Preferred: Experience supporting multiple disciplines and academic programs
- Preferred: Knowledge of accreditation and compliance requirements
- Demonstrated success designing and implementing enterprise-wide learning programs with measurable business outcomes.
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects, balance competing priorities, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills with demonstrated ability to collaborate across functions and levels.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated strategic thinking, analytical skills, and business acumen in translating organizational needs into learning solutions.
