Job Description
Position Summary
The Clinical Quality Educator serves as the bridge between clinical quality initiatives and frontline staff development. This position is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs that promote clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, patient safety, and performance improvement across the organization.
Working collaboratively with clinical, quality, and operational leaders, the Clinical Quality Educator identifies learning needs, addresses performance gaps, and develops innovative educational solutions that support CareFlite’s strategic goals.
This is a field-based position primarily supporting CareFlite operations in Kaufman County and Dallas County, with opportunities to assist in additional service areas as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Education & Quality Improvement
- Design, develop, and deliver clinical quality education programs and training curricula for clinical and non-clinical staff.
- Conduct educational needs assessments and gap analyses using performance metrics and quality data.
- Collaborate with Quality Improvement, Infection Control, Risk Management, and operational leadership to identify and address educational needs.
- Develop targeted education strategies that support patient safety, regulatory compliance, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Facilitate classroom instruction, virtual learning sessions, simulations, skills labs, and competency validations.
- Develop educational resources including presentations, e-learning modules, job aids, competency checklists, and quick-reference materials.
- Evaluate educational effectiveness using competency assessments, outcome measures, and performance data.
Regulatory Compliance & Accreditation
- Interpret and communicate updates from regulatory and accreditation agencies, including CAMTS, CMS, and DSHS.
- Support accreditation readiness activities and survey preparation efforts.
- Educate staff regarding compliance requirements, tracer methodologies, and best practices.
Staff Development
- Support onboarding and orientation programs for new clinical team members.
- Serve as a mentor and educational resource for clinical staff.
- Collaborate with department leaders and Field Training Officers (FTOs) to implement targeted educational plans.
- Encourage participation in continuing education, research, and professional development activities.
Leadership & Organizational Support
- Participate in quality committees, peer review activities, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Assist with annual budget planning and educational resource allocation.
- Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, continuous learning, and clinical excellence.
Work Schedule & Environment
- Field-based position primarily supporting operations in Kaufman and Dallas Counties.
- Requires regular travel throughout CareFlite service areas.
- May provide support in Tarrant, Johnson, Hill, Hood, Somervell, Erath Counties, and future expansion markets.
- Occasional evening, weekend, or off-shift educational support may be required based on operational needs.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Current Texas State Paramedic license or Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum of two (2) years of direct clinical experience in an acute care hospital, EMS, medical transport, air medical, or ground transport setting.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in staff education, clinical training, patient safety, or quality improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Education, or a related field.
- DSHS EMS Instructor certification or willingness to obtain certification within 18 months of hire.
- Experience with research activities, evidence-based practice initiatives, or professional publication.
Certifications

- Texas State Paramedic License or Registered Nurse License
Preferred
- DSHS EMS Instructor Certification
- Additional healthcare quality, patient safety, or education certifications
Physical Requirements
- Ability to travel frequently between operational locations.
- Ability to stand, walk, teach, and facilitate educational activities for extended periods.
- Ability to conduct simulation training, skills demonstrations, and competency evaluations.
- Ability to lift and move educational materials and training equipment as needed.
- Must be able to perform duties in office, classroom, field, and clinical environments.
