Hourly Pay Range:
$43.69 – $67.72 – The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate’s expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

A Brief Overview:
As the Manager of Nursing Triage, you will assume a crucial role in overseeing and managing the nursing triage department. You will lead a team of skilled nurses who are responsible for assessing, evaluating, and providing initial care to patients in various settings, including the emergency department, urgent care, and telehealth. This position requires strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
What you will do:
- Provide clinical leadership and guidance to nursing staff in the triage department. Ensure adherence to established clinical protocols, safety standards, and the delivery of high-quality care.
- Supervise and mentor nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and other healthcare professionals. Coordinate staff schedules, assignments, and performance evaluations. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Oversee the triage process for patients, ensuring timely assessment, evaluation, and initial care based on clinical judgment. Prioritize patient needs and allocate resources accordingly.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives within the triage department. Participate in audits and compliance efforts, identifying areas for enhancement and implementing corrective actions to improve patient outcomes.
- Efficiently manage department resources, including staffing, supplies, and equipment. Assist in budget planning and control expenses within the department.
- Facilitate ongoing education and training for nursing staff to enhance their clinical skills and knowledge in triage and emergency care.
- Oversee accurate and complete documentation of patient assessments, triage decisions, and interventions in electronic health records.
- Ensure strict adherence to all state and federal regulations, as well as hospital policies and procedures, within the triage department. Maintain a safe and compliant care environment.
- Collaborate with other departments, including emergency services, urgent care, and telehealth teams, to coordinate patient care and optimize the patient experience.
What you will need:
- Bachelors Degree Nursing Required Or
- Masters Degree Nursing Preferred
- 5+ Years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Registered Nurse (RN) – Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of Illinois. Required And
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Required And
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS certification Preferred
