Weekend Track RN – Hospice Coding Specialist – Community Hospice – Hybrid Role

The Community Hospice is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Weekend Track RN to join our Coding Team.

*Training in Hospice Coding will be provided!*

Schedule: Every Saturday and Sunday 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM

What you will do:

In this key role, you will collaborate closely with hospice providers and organizational leadership to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timely submission of clinical documentation and coding. Your expertise will help support regulatory compliance, quality outcomes, and appropriate reimbursement, ultimately contributing to the exceptional care we provide to patients and families.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and code hospice clinical documentation for accuracy and completeness
• Collaborate with providers and leadership to ensure documentation supports regulatory and billing requirements
• Identify and communicate documentation opportunities and coding discrepancies
• Support compliance with applicable hospice regulations and payer requirements

What you will need:

• A current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York
• Associates Degree in Nursing, BSN preferred
• 1 year experience as an RN required-preferably in Hospice/Home Care or acute care.
• Ability to work independently

Work Location

This position is primarily remote/hybrid, allowing you to work from home for most of your scheduled hours. Occasional in-office attendance may be required for orientation, training, team meetings, or as requested by the hiring manager.

Pay Rang: $36.00-$47.52 Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location
